Loveyapa explores the rollercoaster ride of two young lovers, who are made to exchange their phones for a day. Baani and Gaurav are the ideal couple -- loving, understanding and trusting. Ready to take the next step and get married, Gaurav approaches Baani's strict and orthodox father, Atul Kumar, who agrees to the union on one condition -- the couple swap phones for a day. If at the end of the day they still love and trust each other, he will happily get them married. The phones end up being Pandora's boxes.

I was initially hesitant to watch 'Loveyappa' on Jio Hotstar, having already seen 'Nadaniya' and assuming it was just another mediocre film. However, after someone recommended it, I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. The movie's title didn't exactly intrigue me at first, but the content proved to be a pleasant surprise. What struck me was how effectively it tackles real-world issues that many people face. The film sheds light on the dating patterns of Gen Z, highlighting the complexities and challenges of modern relationships. One of the key themes is the importance of trust in relationships, which seems to be lacking in today's world. The movie also addresses body shaming, online harassment, and the impact of creepy messages on individuals. The portrayal of how people can take revenge or spread rumors through deepfake videos is particularly relevant in today's digital age. While the film does a great job of highlighting these issues, I felt that it could have delved deeper into the mental health implications of these experiences. A more nuanced exploration of what goes through a person's mind when faced with such challenges would have added another layer of depth to the story. Overall, I highly recommend 'Loveyappa' for its thought-provoking and timely commentary on the challenges faced by many individuals.
