There’s really nothing to see here, just another synthetic simulation of a film and a genre we used to love, less maintenance required and more complete overhaul. Go to Full Review

Come for the rom com, but stick around for Petsch, O’Brian and Bailey, a fun trio that turns out to be the only essential tools Maintenance Required to be an entertaining movie. Go to Full Review

The wan and charmless Maintenance Required stalls out before it even gets out of its parking spot, he said, kicking the jack out from under the car so it falls on him, crushing his skull. Go to Full Review

Ultimately the title says it all. Maintenance was required, but not performed. Perhaps next time if you are going to check out the Shop Around The corner, just watch the classic this film has dumbed down for Gen Z. Go to Full Review

More contrived than endearing, this millennial romantic comedy offers only the slightest variation on well-worn genre tropes. Go to Full Review

R W @raejwg 9h This slow burn is definitely worth taking the time for. The movie is sexy, fun, full of girl power, and a great reimagination of a classic. In rom-coms, we know the protagonists end up together, but this was a fun romance to watch play all the way out. See more patricia C @RT60399054 9h I loved this feel good, funny, girl power movie! Watch it with your daughters. You'll love it!!! See more R R @RT14164850 1d I had such a good time watching this movie. It’s funny, charming, genuinely romantic, and exactly the kind of movie I wish we had more of right now. There’s a warmth to this movie that a lot of modern rom-coms seem to have forgotten. Madelaine Petsch and Jacob Scipio have a really lovely chemistry, and the whole cast gives the movie a sense of fun that carries you through it. I just enjoyed watching something that actually wants you to feel something. It isn’t trying to be cynical or clever. It’s a romantic comedy, and it embraces that. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. I finished it with a big smile on my face. If you miss movies that are allowed to be fun, romantic and heartfelt, give this one a chance. See more C K @CLaine9 1d The cutest romcom with lots of girl power. Entertained the whole way through! See more Beverly J @Mrs.Jones Jun 26 I like the actors and have seen several of them in other projects. The writing, on the other hand, was terrible. It was the beginning of a relationship: the guy lies/omits, the girl chases him, and there's no real conflict resolution. At several points, I thought I had missed something because the transitions were so poorly done. I could see the potential in the storyline and the purpose of all the characters, but the writing just wasn't there. It's such a shame because I would've liked to see the lead get what she wanted without having to make herself small for someone else's benefit. Not every strong female lead has to be a ball buster to be compelling, nor should she have to make herself small to soothe fragile egos or make up for someone else's mistakes. This could have been a story that showcased balance and substance. Instead, it's a D movie at best. I would love to see this story rewritten. The premise and characters deserve a better execution.
