R T @RT25530869 1d This popped up as a short on my 3 year olds recommendations. Since when is it appropriate to make a show for kids about an adult introducing his homosexual lover to his parents. Why is a story centered on sexuality recommended for my toddler? Why are we trying to normalize explaining sexual interactions to toddlers? I am not upset because it is homosexual. I am upset because it is pedophilia. "Why is she sad and why is he sad?" What am I supposed to say? "Well son, he is nervous about telling his dad that he loves another man. "What is wrong with that?" Yeah, that will be the next question. How exactly am I supposed to explain to a toddler that a lot of people are not okay with two boys having anal sex with eachother and it is socially awkward and the point is to show that it shouldn't be because love is love but the world is too focused on the fact there is sodomy involved. Why is this being SUGGESTED to a 3 year old? It is disgusting. Seems predatory as hell to me. Grooming much??? I also quite liked the animation style used in this and thought it felt most unique in that way. I always think it is cool to see more stories being told through animation, and I hope this little short can start conversations about more inclusive animated stories in the near future. It's a pretty great short; the only thing I didn't get were the cat and the dog as commentators(?)/guardians(?). See more Read all reviews
