Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord who was entombed on Earth millions of years ago after a failed attempt to destroy the universe. They nickname the evil creature Psycho Goreman (or PG for short) and use the magical amulet they discovered to force him to obey their childish whims. It isn't long before PG's reappearance draws the attention of intergalactic friends and foes from across the cosmos and a rogues' gallery of alien combatants converges in small-town suburbia to battle for the fate of the galaxy.

Critics Consensus

Over the top and enthusiastically strange, PG: Psycho Goreman delivers all the cheesy midnight-movie goodness promised by its title.

It helps that Hanna, Ninaber and the rest of the cast have acute comic timing and know how to sell the material.

Psycho Goreman isn't clever or lively enough to be more than fitfully fun, especially given how much time is spent mocking generic, but painstakingly recreated plot contrivances

Psycho Goreman, Steven Kostanki’s darkly comedic descent into space violence, is extremely fun and charming.

It mocks many of the classic 1980s psychotronic B-movie tropes—exaggerated characters, extra splattery and creative kill scenes, and plot holes for days—but it's all coming from a place of love for the genre and delivered with a knowing wink.

Oozing with affection, few films manage the dizzying balance of over-the-top gore and childlike exuberance like this.

The concept was good, but the kid actors weren't that good. I think with the right actors it would've been alot better. The best actor was the zombie cop acting like a tard LOLOOLOL

Could definitely pass as an 80s movie in the best way. Kids befriending weird creatures never gets old, in my humble opinion.

Not bad for a strongwoman girl boss movie.

Honestly I don't even know that I can call this a horror movie, it's more of a gross-out than anything outright scary. Not a jumpscare to be had, that I can recall at least. It's an indulgent satire of loads of tropes of 80s and 90s media, and it's one of those movies where I can tell that everyone involved had a blast working on it. I will say I don't think I would've missed much if they cut the runtime down by 10-15 minutes, but the movie never felt like it dragged - just a few scenes I think could have ended a bit earlier for the same effect. Even with that I still have to give this a 5/5 just for being a supremely entertaining movie for people like me - 30-something nerds with a great fondness for things like Power Rangers and Calvin & Hobbes.

Narcissist child uncovers ancient illegal alien. This movie was hilarious and completely nonsensical. I love it.
