No superstar leads, never heard of it but it unfolds like the most seasoned storytelling saga should. So in that respect I should say I am pleasantly surprised. This kind of action thriller doesn't come as often as these kind of movies used to, which is why I enjoyed it even more. Escapism, betrayal, great believable fight scenes, solid acting, comic like in a graphic novel kind of way, and modern, slick and clean visuals. Very well put together. I loved learning about historical figures lesser known in the western world with a Gladiator-esque story line and the stunts and production design to match. The acting was great and I appreciated the way complicated characters and context was introduced.
