Mia Farrow's acting was superb!!! See more Lamelio M @RT70470453 Oct 5, 2026 Dont get the hype. This movie was mediocre. Good acting from the main character Rosemary but other than that the plot was very underwhelming and predictable. See more Liam D @Mediawatcher2003 Oct 3, 2026 Putting its controversial director aside. Even if you know the third act twist through pop culture this is an classic for a reason with an eerie and suspenseful atmosphere and some incredible performances (including an Oscar winning turn from Ruth Gordon) See more Huntin P @PaxVobiscum80 Sep 16, 2026 The best thing about Rosemary's Baby may, in fact, odd to say, be its movie poster. The design cost the studio $1m and it was money well spent. The movie triumphed and Polanski became the hottest property in Hollywood. His personal life shattered, abruptly, the next year, and then came the sex scandal, but inbetween he made Chinatown, his most celebrated American movie, and another one of his that I find just a tad overrated. Rosemary's Baby, likewise, feels too slow for a horror movie. Being, as it is, a movie about annoying, nosy neighbours, watching it a second, third, or howevermanyeth time, means having to sit down with those ghastly people all over again. If the movie teaches us anything it is to be straight with people, or else they may take advantage. As a wise Englishman once said, give 'em an inch and before you know it they've got a foot, next thing you know you haven't got a leg to stand on. Definitely worth seeing once.
