12/05/2021 Un film familiale sans prétention avec une magie incroyable serte se film ne peux pas plaire a tout le monde mes comme a dit Brian Webster (une créativité chinoise est si pleine de couleurs et de vitalité) See more 11/14/2021 A Chinese movie with special effects done by Centro, which is based in Hong Kong, and dubbed by Disney for English speaking audiences. This film is about a young boy who learns that doing the work yourself is more fulfilling than having a magic gourd do all the work for you. The plot had the right idea, but wasn't paced very well and didn't set up the plot points well enough for them to pay off later. The acting is wooden at best, though that may be a cultural barrier. The Magic Gourd was computer animated and looked like a cheap Mr. Potato Head. The special effects do not get past a cartoonish look. Corbin Bleu, from The High School Musical movies, voices the Gourd and does alright with what he was given. I do not think this movie is worth your time, skip it. See more 03/23/2020 This movie scarred me as a child. The Guord is ugly as hell. The part where he splits himself in half gave me nightmares. I found a picture of this monstrosity on google images, and it unearthed flashbacks I never knew I had. Please, spare the minds of your innocent children. Do not let them watch this cursed film.
