Milly Alcock is quite good as Kara, though less convincing as Supergirl. The low-wattage movie that bears her superpowered name is quite alright as a non-apocalyptic adventure, though it never rises up to become essential.

It was so lovely to see a female-led superhero film that showcased the nuance of being powerful but also restrained in using it for justice vs revenge. The leads were amazing, demonstrated whimsy and complexity at every turn, and made you feel like time stopped for those 2 hours-ish sat in the theater.
