It is about Fu Manchu who has plans for world domination using a lethal poison gas are thwarted at every turn by his arch nemesis, Sir Nayland Smith of Scotland Yard. Christopher Lee and Nigel Green give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Don Sharp did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama and mystery. See more 03/22/2015 Sax Rohmer's archetypal racially insensitive master villain was popularized in serials, several film series, comic strips, comic books, and legendary moustache culture. Here he is done by Christopher Lee (?!) in the first of five forgettable 60s films. See more 09/07/2013 Way better than expected. While not exactly PC by today's standards, it's much more culturally sensitive than the books or the 1932 film. Fu Manchu is a great villain. It's too bad he was born out of xenophobia. See more bill t @Spuzz 06/21/2013 A bit of a jumbled mess of a movie, face of Fu Manchu features Christopher Lee as Manchu and Nigel Green playing a Sherlock Holmesque detective tracking him down. The main problem is that while Lee is good, his disciples are weak, curiously. You would think that a guy like Fu Manchu would have better assassins around then what he is got.
