Walter W @RT71869229 Mar 30 "The Werewolf of Washington" is not Dean Stockwell’s finest hour, but he always took risks in his acting career. This political satire is a very different take on this popular monster horror sub genre. Stockwell puts in another freaky performance as "Jack Whittier" who by day is a press assistant to the President of the United States, expertly played by Biff McGuire. Milton Moses Ginsberg not only wrote, but edited and also directed this comedy, horror movie that parodies Washington’s politics and remind us that even werewolves are human beings. Is the researcher Dr. Kiss (Michael Dunn) meant to be a reference to Dr. Henry Kissinger? I guess we’ll never know. "The Werewolf of Washington" reminded me of Peter Sellers’ "Dr. Strangelove" (1964). Over 90 minutes I learned to stop worrying about Richard Nixon and Watergate and love lycanthrope. Ignore the corny movie poster artwork and stream this 1973 forgotten gem for fits and giggles free on Plex. I love this movie, I would recommend to anyone that appreciates campy cheesy horror films. To me the pace is good not slow as other reviewers stated, and it's not a serious movie common have a little sense of humor why don't you. I can see why this movie is a cult classic . Loved the setting of the movie, it makes it a little different from all the other werewolf movies by being set in Washington D.C.
