I think that some of the political tension and twists are lost without understanding the backstory. I'm surprised it has lower ratings than Part 1. Must-see movies. I hope they continue with more Parts. It has inspired me to re-read the series of epic literature. The soundtrack, picturesque locations and buildings bring the viewer along for the ride steeping them into the rich historic plot and feelings of 17th century France.
