WendiMatt T @RT27383219 Jun 8, 2025 Finally! A true dramatic horror film. This film breathes noir. See more Hugo - Shudder F @Hugo_Shudder Jan 8, 2023 Despite a stellar performance from Michelle Krusiec (a social worker who is able to see dead people), "They Live in the Grey" fails to drag the viewer into the drama of its main character (the loss of a son). When a horror movie replicates a stereotype of trauma already seen too many times, the audience is no longer compelled to be part of it. See more Sep 5, 2022 Very slow and just generally, not scary. Maybe if it were a book... but as a movie it's a bunch of burning scenes with next to no dialogue See more May 18, 2022 Damn that was boring. An emotional drama rather than a horror. The supernatural themes are minimal - it's more about the protagonist's inability to cope with her life and her trauma. Watch something else if you are after horror. See more May 17, 2022 Beautifully shot and excellently acted, They Live in the Grey delivers an unsettling (and at times uncomfortable) portrayal of loss and grief told within a clairvoyant centered ghost story. Every appearance of an apparition packs a punch, either visually or emotionally, and lays the foundation upon which the film builds its narrative. The film presents a story that is familiar to the horror genre, but the presentation feels fresh. It's runtime of 124 minutes is a bit long, but the payoff is worth it in the end with the suspense-filled climax of the story. Michelle Krusiec's lead performance is absolutely wonderful and makes this film a must-see for horror fans. See more Read all reviews
