Henry D @Henry_Domke 3 days ago A believable and mature look at how someone might behave when facing certain death. What’s surprising is the absence of melodrama: two old friends remain relaxed and reasonable with each other, even as one faces terminal cancer. There is dry humor, but calling it a comedy doesn’t quite fit; its strength is the convincing friendship and understated emotion. The enormous dog, Truman, is the one slightly odd piece of the puzzle, and he gives the film its title. See more Daniel G @DanielGodoyBsb Aug 10, 2024 Well-developed view of a very intense moment in life - conscious preparation for death. Focus on long friendships and impactful goodbyes, while all around life continues - has to continue - for all those oblivious to the intimate drama of the protagonist. See more Nov 11, 2021 Fantastic movie...! Really touching. See more Read all reviews
