Clever, chaotic TV writer Saoirse, glamorous, stressed-out mother of three Robyn, and dependable, inhibited carer Dara have been a tight-knit group since school. Now in their late 30s, but still as close as ever, these three friends are about to embark on the most thrilling adventure of their lives. When an email arrives, telling them about the death of the estranged fourth member of their childhood gang, a series of eerie events at her wake set them on a dark, dangerous and hilarious odyssey through Ireland and beyond as each tries to piece together the truth of the past. A show about friendship, memory and what happens when life doesn’t turn out quite like you'd expected.

From Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee comes an Irish tale powered by women and full of mirth and menace. It’s the kind of Netflix surprise we all need right now. Go to Full Review

Even if you’re over whodunits, McGee’s cleverly meta spin on an overdone genre and her genius for comedy, dialogue, and character development make for an altogether good craic. Go to Full Review

The tonal rollercoaster is hard to pull off, but the series succeeds because it presents these capers as a return to the adventure of being young. Go to Full Review

Jazzmin H. @jazzminbree 20h Bad Sisters meets Yellowjackets with a 2000’s girl pop playlist which how can anyone hate. If you like mystery and British humor, this is it. Just like many, kind of confusing at the beginning with so many characters being introduced but it does payoff in the end. Also, the cinematography is the hook to this show. See more Louis F @Rene.J 1d This show is described as clever chaotic, but it is more cliche shambolic. And what’s up with the sound quality? See more Jonathan M @Jonathan555 3d It has some snappy, funny dialog, with a lot of odd characters, which I like, Seems like a Guy Ritchie series in the way it bounces around. The jury is out as to how it concludes. See more Abbie B @Wagpool 3d A brilliant mix of drama and humour - a fresh take on a classic trope, leaving enough room for speculation as you’re watching and giving satisfying answers. I thought the characters were incredibly well written, and the storyline had me on the edge of my seat See more Marc M @MarcM 3d Love this show! It's hilarious and smart. Like a mashup of Derry Girls and Bad Sisters, with a little bit of.... I dunno... Peewee Herman or something thrown in. See more Zulaiha M @Mei-Z 3d I was so excited to watch this, having loved a lot of Lisa McGee's previous works, and sure it was entertaining in the beginning, but I had gotten bored by the 6th episode... The plot was all over the place, and went on longer than was necessary. It could have been well done, but the jumping around from place to place, different settings, and too many unnecessary characters, just made it very messy. The ending was also quite lackluster. A tighter script, and subsequently fewer episodes, probably would have made this much more enjoyable. See more Read all reviews
