Based on the Hammer of the Witches, the witch hunter’s manual, it drops us straight into the Middle Ages—an era ruled by superstition and fear of the unknown. Strong direction, striking photography, solid cast, and an over‑the‑top artistic vision. Shocking, terrifying, crude, yet laced with moments of dark humor. Definitely one for the watchlist. It really shows the Atrocities in the name of the church the Catholics were willing to use to spread fear amongst the uneducated masses for control over even their thoughts, not just their physical bodies.
