Even the title feels lazy. It's almost as if the makers wanted to tell a Queen-like story and simply chose South Korea because of its current pop culture appeal. If you want to see how a movie uses a location purely for SEO purposes, it would be this!

Made in Korea… I know some people feel the title doesn’t match the content, but I see it differently. This is not a fight or commercial movie like many expect. It’s soft, simple, and honestly… it became a comfort movie for me. "Made in Korea" is not about action it’s about how her life transforms when she moves to a new country and experiences a different culture. Very beautiful, calm, and meaningful.

Misleading title as it had so little to do with Korea. This movie could have been so much more but it fails to take advantage of the location, the culture etc. A small town girl who is obsessed with Korea, lands in Korea and behaves like she is in her small town. She knows nothing about the country, the culture, the language or the people but somehow we’re supposed to believe she grew up obsessing over a country she knows nothing about. How dumb. Watched the first 20 minutes only and it was a waste of my 20 minutes. Don’t bother!
