While beautifully filmed, I can't seem to figure out why everyone finds this film as good in terms of morality when it places sex offenders (of often violent offenses) as the victims? How exactly am I supposed to feel bad for them?

Jeez this is tough watching. It humanizes these offenders, showing that seemingly without exception the level of trauma in their own lives and childhoods was horrific.
