Eight months after the death of his wife, Frank Goode looks forward to a reunion with his four adult children. When all of them cancel their visits at the last minute, Frank, against the advice of his doctor, sets out on a road trip to reconnect with his offspring. As he visits each one in turn, Frank finds that his children's lives are not quite as picture-perfect as they've made them out to be.

The movie Everybody’s Fine is a drama directed by Kirk Jones with Robert De Niro as playing Frank a widower and Drew Barrymore, Sam Rockwell and Kate Beckinsale as his children. The film was released on December 4, 2009, in the United States. The story is about Frank, who decides to travel around the United States to visit his children, even if his doctor doesn’t recommend it. He discovers that his children hide the truth of their lives to protect him, but he wants honesty and complicity with them. Robert De Niro gave a very touching and believable performance, and the other actors are convincing and natural. The cinematography, lighting and music make the emotional moments more powerful. The script is realistic and moving and shows the family connections in an authentic way. The film’s main themes are family, honesty and love. In my opinion this movie shows the real life of a family with secrets and regrets. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys family stories.

This movie really makes you reflect on your expectations in life. The acting was excellent. Very relatable at so many levels with true to life experiences. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
