The year is 1613, and Shakespeare is acknowledged as the greatest writer of the age. But disaster strikes when his renowned Globe Theatre burns to the ground. Devastated, Shakespeare returns to Stratford, where he must face a troubled past and a neglected family. Haunted by the death of his only son, Hamnet, he struggles to mend the broken relationship with his wife and daughters. In so doing, he is ruthlessly forced to examine his own failings as a husband and father.

Though much of the film is mere speculation on what the last years of Shakespeare's life may have been like, it is in those extraordinary high points in the film that "All Is True" really does ring true.

This version of William Shakespeares life takes a look at his grief over the loss of his boy. I see where hamnet got some inspiration from. I will say the performance of William Shakespeare was better here than in hamnet. I still enjoyed hamnet much more than this version. I also enjoyed the performance of Anne. Tim Treakle

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Taking the alternative name of Shakespeare's play Henry VIII and transuding melancholia, it is a reimagination of the retirement years of The Bard returning home in Stratford-upon-Avon after Globe theatre perishes in fire in 1613 to brave domestic affairs, grief for his son and an unrequited romanticism with Earl of Southampton.
