See more 07/15/2018 Nevermind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols See more 09/24/2016 Julien Temple documentary on The Sex Pistols is a follow-up to his 1980 documentary on the Pistols, "The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle, which was criticized for being too focused on manager Malcolm McLaren's version of the band's rise and fall. This film also documents the rise and fall of the band, but this time includes much more commentary from the band members themselves, particularly John Lydon. The film features a lot of vintage footage from back in the day, which is a lot of fun. I do have to say I was annoyed by the contemporary interviews done in silhouette, which seemed an unnecessary stylistic. But still, the music holds up and the overall film is a lot of fun capturing the raw and gritty feel of the 80s British punch scene. See more Read all reviews
