It ends up super shallow, which is not to say it's without its charms. It can be likable at times... But it's such a broad directive trying to celebrate rock that it becomes meaningless.

Long Live Rock is like a rambling ad campaign for hard rock/heavy metal's die-hard fandom. The documentary doesn't reveal anything new, the editing is horribly unfocused, and the movie often comes across as a long infomercial for rock concert festivals.

If you're looking to learn more about what makes these people tick, this documentary won't enlighten you any further, if you're missing the chaos of a massive rock show this may put a smile on your face.
