An engrossing story about obsession and how it can cloud all reason and there some stunning plot twists, some that you see coming from a mile off but that is a cover for the real twist ... Superb acting by Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Cane and it even has David Bowie ... While the main characters are difficult to sympathize with as they pursue their obsessive vendetta against each other it is interesting how they justify to themselves as they sacrifice those they love to get their win over their rival ...

The movie up until the end felt like a little too much and a little by the books. While the ending itself I thought wrapped the film in a nice bow and was well executed. The rest of the movie was a little boring and a little much. It felt like a popcorn movie trying to be more, and up until the end is wasn't much more.

Nolan perfectly shows how obsession can make some people go beyond the limits and the movie is about the competition of 2 magicians and movie itself is a magic trick, if you miss a specific moment, u do not understand the trick and that is the part where many people miss some part. So, absolutely must-watch movie

Christopher Nolan's films are always so overwritten, non-linear, and busy. There is too much going on for me to involve myself enough to care. I feared there would be an unrealistic twist at the end (I was right)/ I also suspected some of the other strange happenings along the way (I was right about those, too). Nolan tries too hard, which makes his films unnecessarily stressful to watch.
