Antonio S @RT05261875 13h Part II, is much better than the part 1 of 100yos. The acting level makes a difference in telling the stories from the book. Really worth watching it, can’t wait for the final on Aug 28. See more Gio_Ser T @Gio_Ser 2d Visually stunning, but a huge missed opportunity. The cinematography, production design, costumes and sets are excellent, yet the storytelling is painfully rushed. Everything happens one thing after another, as if the series were simply checking events off a list, leaving no time for characters or relationships to develop. Some performances are also painfully overacted, with far too much solemnity and narration explaining what we are watching. Remedios la Bella is the clearest example: her iconic ascension to heaven is reduced to roughly 30 seconds, with barely any sense of magic or wonder. The yellow butterflies around Mauricio Babilonia are another missed opportunity—they could have been a beautiful visual symbol, but barely register. The first part worked much better. The second feels rushed, emotionally flat and dramatically clumsy. Beautifully made, but terribly told.
