Having just returned from a mission to Mars, Commander Ross (Justin Lazard) isn't exactly himself. He's slowly becoming a terrifying alien entity with one goal -- to procreate with human women! When countless women suffer gruesome deaths after bearing half-alien offspring, scientist Laura Baker (Marg Helgenberger) and hired assassin Press Lennox (Michael Madsen) use Eve (Natasha Henstridge), a more tempered alien clone, to find Ross and his brood. Before long Eve escapes to mate with Ross.

Clumsily exploitative and sloppily assembled, Species II fails to clear the rather low bar set by its less-than-stellar predecessor.

'It's awful; it's just awful, gasps Marg Helgenberger in one scene of this absolutely abysmal follow-up ... viewers are likely to find their heads nodding in agreement.

A trasy sequel, but in a good way. Lots of goofy over-the-top fun and a film not to be taken seriously. Great for after a long workday to decompress. This and the fact that the director/crew said one of the girls was actually "getting it", from the male prop/dummy in the hotel scene makes it kinda cool and fun.

Meh: That should sum it up. The movie goes into a porn/gore flick real quick and fast. To encase it into a nut shell, Spaceman gets infected on his way back home from Mars, knocks up a couple of harlots at a hotel, they die do to a speedy-pregnancy in under a minute because of his infection. Team of some government agency no one has ever heard of, don't know what to do, so they hook a clone of the last alien up to a device that gives her psychic powers to track spaceman, spaceman continues to go around expanding his alien hybrid family like Quagmire from Family Guy. They catch him, he gets away, then the clone gets away, to an old barn where spaceman hides his kids, so they can have a pure alien baby, but got interrupted do to the A-team, spaceman gets mad and kills his current GF, they kill him, clone's body swells in the back of a ambulance truck the end. To be honest, you can stop watching it after the spaceman has his fun with those harlots, the rest of the movie is just wasted film.

movie was s***. vfx werent as good, messy story, one likable character, not enough screen time for eve, a premise that went no where, messy writing and plot holes. disregards the things that made the original interesting- like the action was more choppy, everything felt so much lesser than the original.
