In a globe-trotting assignment that has him skiing off the edges of cliffs and driving a car deep underwater, British super-spy James Bond (Roger Moore) unites with sexy Russian agent Anya Amasova (Barbara Bach) to defeat megalomaniac shipping magnate Karl Stromberg (Curt Jurgens), who is threatening to destroy New York City with nuclear weapons. Where the actual plot is forgettable the film is filled with enough interesting dynamics and moments of genuine fun the it is an enjoyable watch.

The Spy Who Loved Me is my favorite Bond movie in the whole franchise. It is also one of Roger Moore's best. Barbara Bach looks stunning as Anya Amasova, Jaws is one of the scariest henchmen I have ever seen. Stromberg is a pretty weak villain compared to the others. He doesn't really have a real plot, it's instead the ''I'm gonna destroy the world by creating one'' plot that is often used in movies. The Lotus Esprit is also one of the best cars too.

La pausa di qualche anno dal precedente capitolo fa bene alla saga, che torna sfornare un film divertente e spettacolare; seppure Roger Moore inizi a mostrare i primi segni di invecchiamento, la sceneggiatura è finalmente ben rappresentata e con un villain non banale, soprattutto con sequenze altamente spettacolari ed originali. L'acqua la fa da padrona e la nave che inghiotte i sottomarini, così come le sequenze sulla costa della Sardegna, sono esotiche ed iconiche. Anche la componente femminile tiene testa all'agente segreto con arguzia e spietatezza aggiungendo tensione ed elettricità al contesto.

The spy who loved me has lot of fun and action one would expect in James Bond film. Bond pairs up with beautiful KGB spy Triple X ( Barbara Bach). To stop villain Stromberg from nuking NYC & Moscow. In This movie , were introduced to Jaws (Richard Kiel) Who becomes a staple bad guy in Bond franchise. This is a decent James Bond movie. Not the best of them. But entertaining.

If these movies were not going to return to the interesting dynamics of OHMSS (at least not for many years), then fun is the way to go. Teaming Bond up with a spy from the other side is an incredible idea and the Lotus Esprit is my favorite Bond gadget car.
