When New Orleans paramedics and longtime best friends Steve and Dennis are called to a series of bizarre and gruesome accidents, they chalk it up to a mysterious new drug found at the scene. Mackie and Dornan do their best with their intrepid characters (though Dornan is sidelined for much of the time), while the women have little opportunity to register as interesting characters.

Less successfully realized is the bond between the two heroes. Dornan is not as badly miscast here as he was in Fifty Shades of Grey, but Dennis is never a terribly engaging character.

Movie tackles messing with time cleverly. Fun cinematic techniques, both for the visuals and the horrorific effects. I think the movie lands the ending and makes it more worthwhile for well executed story. Glad to see Anthony Mackie in a leading role. Folks might find this slightly reminiscent of his Black Mirror episode in light of the scifi elements.
