Entertaining Hong Kong movie about the excesses of wealth of 1980s Hong Kong and the manipulation of the stock market. A great reunion of HK’s Andy Lau and Tony Leung since 2000s Infernal Affairs!

I think this film needs to be watched at home, not in a theatre, coz otherwise it’s hard to understand how the fraud happens as one needs to pause the film & think but in a movie it doesn’t allow one to. This film is highly sexualised, as it shows Chen using women to bribe two men. It’s unsuitable for children below the age of 21. I enjoyed the drama, acting & the visuals though, but some parts don’t make sense and I believe isn’t what happened in real life, so it’s not a documentary.

Chong's maximalist, in-your-face approach to telling a criminal conspiracy story such as <i>The Goldfinger</i> may score itself some style points, but ends up doing more harm than good with how overwhelming and overwhelming it can feel.
