Claudio C @Claudio666 Feb 20 A Tragic Black Comedy (12,289 - 20 Feb 2026) In Jerusalem, when a Jane Doe dies in a terrorist attack, a reporter from a tabloid finds a pay stub from the largest industrial bakery in Israel in her possession and writes a sensationalist article. The HR manager is assigned by the owner to write a reply, and he finds that the woman was fired three weeks ago, but the supervisor did not report to HR since he had a crush on the woman and kept her in the payroll. HR becomes the scapegoat from the owner and is ordered to arrange her funeral in Romania, and he travels to the country.. "The Human Resources Manager" (2010) is a tragic black comedy with an acid story criticizing sensationalist tabloids, where scum reporters write news independent of the truth or damage may cause. Then the look for scape goats from companies. The travel criticizes the bureaucracy of Romania. But the film is original and entertaining. My vote is seven. He brings her body to her home town to bring it to her family and make amends. Facing a series of setbacks, he gradually snaps out of his own depression. A lightly comic human drama that's largely fine without ever elevating itself to anything special. THRM observantly combines comedy and pathos to achieve its somewhat successful final results. Director Riklis who specializes in probing studies of contrasting cultures at odds mostly built around borders (LEMON TREE & THE SYRIAN BRIDE) here raises the bar by taking his central character on a reluctantly self-fulfilling mission to a foreign land.
