Chris B @Papa13070 1d Stephen Frears' drama about Queen Elizabeth (Helen Mirren) and her struggles over the death of Princess Diana. I held off seeing this thing for quite a while because I figured we'd have a great performance in an over-dramatic British soap opera but that was far from the case. In fact, I thought the movie itself was a lot better than anyone has really given it credit for. Director Frears does an incredible job at keeping the thing moving and deeply interesting. I was a huge fan of the Princess. It was so strong that it really kept me into it from start to finish. Mirren is excellent along with the rest of the cast. James Cromwell is terrific in the film and Michael Sheen is equally impressive as Tony Blair. See more Ben W @Username618 May 11 Especially the music, actually. As already mentioned, the tilm follows Queen Elızabeth and the other royal pack as they react to Dianas death. The queen initially treats her death as a matter of Dianas family but gets urged by the prime minister and to be fair the public to atleast somehow react to it. —So overall an argueably boring plot. What i do like about the film though is the aesthetic.- What i mean by that, is the music, colouring, cast and general setting. Its just overall a pretty smooth british experience; so much that i even feel a slight urge to colonize India. So speaking about my experience in general, I think its a good watch. Especially if youre sitting in english class playing geometry dash.
