Tovino Thomas brings an admirable physicality to the role, but the weak screenplay doesn’t allow him to do anything more. The period setting is inconsistent. Go to Full Review

ven as Pallichattambi walks that path of love, it quickly steers away into the battleground of good VS evil, one that is bored by repetition, frustrated by lethargy, and drowned by density. Go to Full Review

arvind S @Arvind100 1d You have got to hand it to Jakes Bejoy - his collaborations with Tovino in Narivetta and now, in Pallichattambi it is proof that he can elevate even the drabbest of movies. Narivetta was still a bit different but with Pallichattambi, you get a lot of the same 'saviour in town" schtick. I did like Tovino's performance to a certain extent, but the other characters are just there in the background. Kayadu Lohar's screentime is just about as much as what was shown in the trailer. The much talked-about cameo was good for a bit, but it doesn't have much of an impact. Pallichattambi has a lot to say about how secular Kerala is and I feel that is something they did well - although, it might have been better if they had kept it a bit more subtle. Watch it only for Jakes Bejoy's brilliant score. See more Read all reviews
