There is certainly pain and grief involved in the Moriah Wilson story, but each such moment here is counterbalanced by another dazzling photo of the cyclist’s smiling face. Go to Full Review

If there’s anything illuminating or edifying about watching these painful recollections, “Truth and Tragedy” misses it. Go to Full Review

The Truth and Tragedy of Moriah Wilson is as much a remembrance and celebration of a life as it is a ride into the world of true crime. Go to Full Review

The breakdown of the criminal investigation is fascinating to watch and perhaps even more intimately detailed than the life of this young woman whose story sometimes takes a backseat to her killer. Go to Full Review

For better or worse, the film is not sensational in the least. This means it’s pretty straightforward and respectful toward its victim, but it doesn’t have much bite. Go to Full Review

Farah R. @Farah 4d Although it feels more like a tribute to the victim than a true crime documentary, it’s well-paced in comparison to similar Netflix docs and effectively reveals its twists for maximum impact. See more Alec B @AlecMichaelB 5d A well-filmed, in-depth, and heartbreaking look at the Moriah "Mo" Wilson case out of Austin, TX. While the trajectory of the investigation feels somewhat predictable, rooted in jealousy and quickly narrowing in on the primary suspect, the documentary still builds tension. The filmmakers did a great job focusing on Mo herself, offering an intimate portrait of a 25-year-old rising star in the cycling world, a Dartmouth graduate, and by all accounts a kind, driven person whose life was cut tragically short. The doc avoids sensationalism and highlights the devastating impact on her family and the effort to honor her legacy. See more Sarah M @Mckmeow 5d An engaging and devastating documentary about the loss of a clearly very well-loved person and highly accomplished cyclist. I was especially moved by the words of her mother in the documentary. I wish guns were more tightly controlled and much less available in the United States because the deaths of innocent people are not worth anyone’s right to bear arms. See more Dena B @RT14129653 6d It’s devastating to hear the details of this senseless tragedy, but throughout the documentary, the prevailing theme that emerges is a poignant story about a beautiful, joyful, driven woman, told by the people who love her and want to let the world know about their beloved daughter, sister, and friend. This documentary was so thoughtfully and beautifully done. So much so that I felt compelled to write a review, which I rarely do. See more R T. @RT56294149 6d A bit boring and self indulgent. See more Chantelle H @Alchemist79 Apr 10 Such a well done documentary that manages to highlight both the senseless tragedy of Mo's story as well what an absolutely incredible young woman she was. I just fell in love with her family, her inspiring and driven journal entries, her lovely tribe of authentic friends- such a maddening tragedy. The world lost a truly beautiful soul.
